1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information Eschateq Ltd. (“Eschateq,” “we,” “us”) collects through the JahSing 3 website, jahsing.com accounts, the online store and the JahSing 3 app, and how we use, share and protect it. JahSing 3 is a local-first media player: it does not send your music library or usage telemetry to us, and the free version of the app shows ads (see Section 4).
This policy applies to:
- the website at jahsing.com, including jahsing.com/jahsing3 and its Store;
- jahsing.com accounts, including JahSing 3 Pro subscriptions; and
- the JahSing 3 desktop and mobile apps, where they connect to our services.
It should be read with our Terms and Conditions of Use. We are based in Ontario, Canada, and handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply to you, the GDPR, UK GDPR and US state privacy laws.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the website, accounts and store, and nothing from the app’s local library.
Information you give us
- Account details: username, email address and password (stored hashed, never in plain text) when you register at jahsing.com.
- Order details for JahSing 3 Pro: name, billing details, and order history. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
- Messages you send us, such as support requests or emails to info@jahsing.com.
Information collected automatically on the website
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and referring page, collected in server logs and through analytics.
- Cookie and similar identifiers, described in Section 4.
Information the app does not collect
- The JahSing 3 app sends us no usage telemetry. Your music files, library index, playlists, favourites and listening history stay on your device. The advertising shown in the free version of the app is the exception, described in Section 4.
- The core player works fully offline without an account.
- When you use features that contact third parties (radio search, podcasts, lyrics, cover art, Discover), your device connects to those services directly. See Section 5.
If you sign in to the app with a jahsing.com account, we receive the account information needed to authenticate you and to provide the Pro features you have enabled.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information only for the purposes below, and we do not sell it.

Where PIPEDA applies, we rely on your consent, which may be express or implied depending on the sensitivity of the information. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits, by contacting us.
4. Cookies and advertising
The website uses cookies and similar technologies, and may display ads served by Google AdSense. The free version of the JahSing 3 app also shows ads to accounts without an active JahSing 3 Pro subscription; Pro removes them. See “Advertising in the app” below.
Types of cookies we use
- Essential cookies keep you signed in, hold your shopping cart and secure the site. The site does not work properly without them.
- Analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics provided through Google Site Kit, help us see which pages are used so we can improve them.
- Advertising cookies are set by Google and its advertising partners when ads are shown.
Advertising and Google AdSense
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
- You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertising in the app
- Users without an active JahSing 3 Pro subscription see ads inside the app. JahSing 3 Pro removes them.
- In-app ads are provided by [name of your in-app ad network], which may collect and use device identifiers such as your advertising ID, your IP address, and general device and app information to choose, deliver and measure ads.
- We do not give the ad network your music library, playlists or file names.
- On iOS and Android you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings. Where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown.
- The ad network is independent, and its own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.
Your choices
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting advertising or analytics cookies, through a consent banner that lets you accept, reject or change your choices at any time.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in and the store from working.
- Ads on the website may be non-personalized if you decline consent or opt out. You may still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing history.
5. Third-party services and sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the site and store, with services you choose to use inside the app, and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

The last four rows are requests made directly from your device to independent services that have their own privacy policies. We do not receive that data.
In the free version of the app, the in-app advertising network described in Section 4 also receives device identifiers, your IP address and ad interaction data so that it can serve and measure ads.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will tell you if your information becomes subject to a different policy.
6. Retention, security, transfers and children
Retention. We keep account information while your account is open and delete it within a reasonable period after you close it. We keep order and billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which in Canada is generally six years. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and then deleted or anonymized.
Security. We use measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted access to systems. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
International transfers. We are based in Canada, and our service providers, including Google and GitHub, may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Children. The website and accounts are not directed to children, and you must be of the age of majority in your province or territory, or have a parent or guardian’s consent, to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to stop using it for certain purposes, by emailing info@jahsing.com. We will respond within 30 days.
- Canada (PIPEDA): you may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, challenge its accuracy, and withdraw consent. If we cannot resolve a concern, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: you also have the rights to erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
- US residents (for example California, Colorado, Virginia): you may have the right to know what we collect, to delete and correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To protect your account we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, where the change is material, notify registered users by email.
